Project Details

What began as exploring opportunities for optimization within legacy applications lead to an entirely new design system. My design process was iterative and user-centered. Numerous rounds of user research led to a thorough understanding of the existing user workflows and helped to identify opportunities for improvement. Leveraging my research, I built interactive prototypes, optimized existing user flows, and designed a new UI that corrected prior usability and accessibility issues. Once completed, I then documented and shared my decisions with a brand new design system. This new design system helped to establish new and improved design standards and increased the level of visual sophistication for the organization. My work also helped promote the value of user research within the organization and laid the foundation for future design efforts.
